The Kogi State Government has confirmed the rescue of all 23 pupils kidnapped from the Daarul-Kitab Islamic Orphanage in Lokoja. According to a statement from the Commissioner for Information, the initial operation on April 27 freed 15 victims. The remaining nine children were recovered during a follow-up mission on the morning of May 6. Troops from the Nigerian Army’s 12 Brigade led the coordinated search-and-rescue effort with support from other security agencies across the state.
