NDLEA Destroys ₦301bn Worth of Seized Drugs in Lagos
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has destroyed 329,865.585kg of seized illicit drugs worth about ₦301.06 billion at Navy Town, Ojo, Lagos. The court-ordered exercise covered narcotics from concluded uncontested cases and abandoned seizures. The drugs included cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis, Canadian Loud, skunk, tramadol, codeine syrup, ephedrine, other opioids and khat. Most of the consignments were seized by the NDLEA Lagos Strategic Command between April 2025 and May 2026, while other Lagos-based commands recovered the rest. NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd.) said the destruction would deny trafficking networks resources used to fund crime. Lagos State and other security agencies pledged continued cooperation against drug abuse and trafficking.
