Leaving Office but Not the Cause: Obinabo Vows to Keep Fighting for Women and the Vulnerable

Former Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, concluded her tenure in Awka with a heartfelt speech. She described her service to women, children and other vulnerable groups as more than a political appointment. It was a personal mission to defend the voiceless. Obinabo thanked Governor Charles Soludo for his unwavering support. She also received commendation from the International Human Rights Observatory for her compassionate leadership. Both acknowledgments highlighted her dedication to social justice and inclusive development. Assuring that her fight for justice is far from over, she said leaving office marks a transition, not an end. She urged her successor to build on the progress made. Obinabo vowed to continue advocating for those often overlooked.
