Super Falcons Star Toni Payne Signs Two-Year Contract with Inter Milan
Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne has completed a two-year move from Everton to Italian giants Inter Milan, with her contract running until June 2028. Born in Birmingham, Alabama to Nigerian parents, Payne began her European career at Ajax in 2017. She later spent six seasons at Sevilla, scoring 30 goals in 168 appearances, before joining Everton in 2024. After representing the U.S. at youth level, she switched allegiance to Nigeria and made her senior debut in 2021. Payne is included in Nigeria’s 25-player squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, marking her third appearance in the tournament. Inter’s women’s side, relaunched in 2018, quickly rose from Serie B promotion to secure a spot in the 2025–26 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
