Edo South senatorial aspirant Ehiozuwa Agbonayinwa says defecting from the All Progressives Congress to the National Democratic Congress has been like moving “from frying pan to fire,” after he was blocked from appearing on the NDC primary ballot. He claimed to have won the ticket in the direct primary but faced prolonged delays and confusion. Agbonayinwa said the national leader of the party, Senator Seriake Dickson, personally urged him to buy the nomination form for the Senate race and later denied having made the offer. Describing the primary process as “rigorous,” he contrasted it with his experiences in APC and PDP contests, where candidate consensus and timely polling were more straightforward.
