D’Tigress Set to Face USA, Germany or Australia in 2026 FIBA WWC Group Stage

Nigeria’s D’Tigress have been placed in Seed 2 for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup draw, scheduled for April 21 in Berlin. That positioning could see them paired with the United States, hosts Germany, France or Australia. They join China, Belgium and Spain in Seed 2. Seed 3 features Japan, Puerto Rico, Italy and South Korea, while Seed 4 includes Turkey, Czech Republic, Mali and Hungary. D’Tigress secured qualification by reaching the final of the 2025 AfroBasket and clinching a record fifth continental title. The World Cup runs from 4 to 13 September 2026 in Berlin.
