Why True Christians Must Engage in Politics

I attended a church meeting where the preacher warned that politics corrupts and no true Christian should join. He argued that the political realm belongs to the devil. I disagreed. The Bible shows godly leaders in government—Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Esther and Joseph. History gives us William Wilberforce, Constantine and other believers who shaped nations. When Christians refuse to enter politics, unfit leaders fill the gap. I studied political science at university and served in student government and fellowship leadership. Now I feel called to pursue public office. If God leads you into politics, don’t sit on the sidelines. Use His grace and wisdom to serve with integrity and bring positive change.
