RCCG Affirms Oluremi Tinubu’s Ordination Was Earned, Rejects Calls for Her Removal

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has dismissed calls to strip First Lady Oluremi Tinubu of her ordained role in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He explained that her appointment predates her husband’s political rise and followed the church’s established protocols. Speaking at the monthly Holy Ghost Service in Redemption Camp, Pastor Adeboye said Mrs. Tinubu was ordained as an Assistant Pastor more than ten years ago. He stressed that she met all the spiritual and administrative requirements and did not breach any church guidelines. The General Overseer insisted the RCCG operates by its own rules and will not yield to external criticism over internal clerical matters. His remarks come amid debates about whether high-ranking church leaders holding political positions risk conflicts of interest.
