Patrick Muldoon, Star of Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, Dies Suddenly at 57

Patrick Muldoon passed away on April 19 at the age of 57. His manager confirmed he died of a heart attack at his home, and he was found by his girlfriend. Best known for originating the role of Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives and playing villain Richard Hart on Melrose Place, Muldoon also appeared in Starship Troopers and worked with Bruce Willis in Deadlock. He featured in numerous Lifetime and Hallmark films. An accomplished producer, he backed projects like The Tribes of Palos Verdes, Arkansas, The Card Counter and the upcoming Kockroach with Chris Hemsworth. He is survived by his partner Miriam Rothbart, sister Shana Muldoon-Zappa, their family and his parents.
