Rivers LGAs Pledge Repairs and Electricity for County Grammar School

County Grammar School, Ikwerre/Etche, Rivers State, may receive a long-awaited renovation after the chairmen of Ikwerre and Etche LGAs pledged to address its deteriorating facilities. The school’s Old Boys Association appealed for urgent intervention over crumbling buildings and the lack of electricity during a visit to the Ikwerre council chairman in Isiokpo. The two councils say they will explore providing a transformer, connecting the school to the national grid and installing solar-powered street lights. They also plan to seek support from the Rivers State Government to restore the school to a safer learning environment.
