AE-FUNAI VC Distributes 650 Mattresses and 120 Fans to Student Hostels
In a bid to improve student welfare, the Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike delivered 650 high-quality mattresses and 120 wall fans to hostel residents. This fulfils his promise to upgrade living conditions after touring the hostels in March 2026. “This is about keeping our word and putting students first,” Prof. Nwachukwu said, adding that this is only the first batch and more items are on the way. He urged students to stay focused on their studies and partner with management to foster a conducive learning environment. The Vice-Chancellor also announced plans to renovate the Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Auditorium by the end of 2026, aiming to restore it into a modern facility befitting the university’s status. Students welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm. The Students’ Union leader praised the prompt action and appealed for fair distribution of the new mattresses and fans across all campus hostels.
