NRC Alerts Public to Surge in Stone Attacks on Abuja–Kaduna Train
The Nigerian Railway Corporation has warned of a sharp rise in stone-pelting incidents along the Abuja–Kaduna rail corridor. In the latest attack near Kilometer 177, vandals damaged a locomotive windscreen. NRC says similar attacks have been reported at Gidan Busa, Sarki Gora Village and over six other locations in Kaduna State. These acts put passengers and staff at risk, threaten vital railway investments and amount to economic sabotage. The corporation is working with security agencies and community leaders to bolster surveillance and bring the culprits to justice. Despite the threats, train services continue under strict safety measures. NRC calls on residents along the corridor to report suspicious activities and help protect railway infrastructure.
