Four Reportedly Killed After Drone Debris Hits Russian Beach Near Putin’s Residence
A drone reportedly crashed on a crowded beach in Arkhipo-Osipovka, a resort village on Russia’s Black Sea coast near President Vladimir Putin’s reported Gelendzhik residence. Russian authorities said four people, including a child, were killed and 10 others were injured after debris from the intercepted drone fell on the area. Videos shared online appeared to show a damaged drone descending before an explosion sent beachgoers running for cover. Witnesses said they heard air-defence fire shortly before the blast and claimed no warning sirens were sounded. The incident came amid intensified Ukrainian long-range drone strikes on Russian infrastructure, including fuel facilities and drone-production sites. Ukraine had not officially commented on the beach incident at the time of reporting.
