Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo issued a statement reaffirming the government’s commitment to democratic ideals, rule of law, transparency and inclusive governance. He said security agencies will maintain measures to ensure a stable and safe environment for all citizens. The minister urged Nigerians to use the holiday for civic reflection, remain law-abiding and support institutions that sustain democracy.
