Table Water Truck Tips Over at Lagos–Abeokuta Toll Gate, No Injuries Reported

Scores of motorists narrowly avoided disaster at the busy Toll Gate area of the Lagos–Abeokuta Expressway when a speeding truck loaded with table water lost control and overturned around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. TRACE Commander Salau Hammed confirmed that no lives were lost and attributed the incident to excessive speed. He advised drivers to keep their vehicles in good condition and obey speed limits before using the highway. The commander also warned commercial bus operators against stopping indiscriminately to pick passengers and urged motorcycle riders and roadside sellers to avoid highway hazards. TRACE teams are working swiftly with sister agencies to clear the spillage and restore normal traffic flow.
