Yomi Fabiyi Calls for Investigation Before Temitope Osoba's Burial
Actor Yomi Fabiyi has urged the family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba to postpone her burial until the circumstances surrounding her death are formally investigated. He said an early burial could make it necessary to exhume her body later if an autopsy is required. Fabiyi cited disturbing allegations and rumours, including claims of rape, extortion and possible murder, while stressing that these claims require proper investigation. The allegations have not been independently established. Osoba's fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, reportedly claimed she died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos, disputing earlier speculation that her death was linked to breast cancer complications. Other accounts say she died while being taken to hospital, and the cause of death has not been officially confirmed. The actress, who had previously spoken publicly about surviving cancer, was reportedly scheduled to be buried on 13 August 2026 in Ogun State.
