What If Alexander the Great Had Lived Longer: The Lost Empire That Might Have Been

I keep circling a small question: what if Alexander the Great had not died at 32? I imagine him in Babylon, feverish but still planning. By the time he fell ill, he had carved his path through Persia. He blended cultures. He married Persian women and wore their dress. He dreamed of Arabia or Carthage next. When he died, his empire fractured almost at once. His generals divided the lands and his son was too young to rule. Yet I wonder: could a longer life have held it all together? That question haunts me. It reminds me that history often hinges on a single moment that never came.
