Ex-IGP Mohammed Adamu Quits APC, Cites Flawed Primary Process
Former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu has resigned from the All Progressives Congress. He submitted his resignation letter on May 25, 2026 to executives in Makama Ward, Lafia, Nasarawa State. He said recent governorship primaries lacked transparency and fairness. Adamu stated that internal democracy and equal opportunity did not reflect the party’s principles. After consulting supporters and family, he lost confidence in the leadership and will seek a new platform. He thanked party members at ward, local government and state levels for their cooperation during his tenure.
