Buratai Denies Fake Claim, Reaffirms APC Loyalty to President Tinubu

Buratai Denies Fake Claim, Reaffirms APC Loyalty to President Tinubu

Retired Lt.-Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai has dismissed a viral report attributing anti-Tinubu remarks to him as completely fabricated. He has challenged the publishers to present any evidence of the alleged statements. Buratai reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and pledged his continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and the government’s security efforts. He accused serial peddlers of falsehood of seeking to tarnish his reputation and urged Nigerians to disregard the misinformation and back measures to curb fake news.

Why did that report go viral so quickly without any verifiable source for Buratai's supposed anti-Tinubu remarks?

I get the doubt, but quick spread no mean it lacks basis. Social media often shares leaks before official channels chime in.

It's surprising how fast unverified claims can spread online, especially when testing loyalties within a major political party.

I'm not convinced we should dismiss every viral report as fake just because it doesn't suit someone's political stance.

Next time this happens we could check original sources or listen for Buratai's own statement before forming any judgment.
