Senator Omo-Agege Quits APC, Cites Delta State Disagreements
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy President of the 9th Senate, has resigned his APC membership effective May 22, 2026. He explained that recent party developments in Delta State no longer align with his political objectives or those of his constituents. After consulting with supporters, he decided he could better serve Delta Central and Nigeria outside the party. He thanked the APC for the opportunity to serve in the Senate leadership and has requested removal from all membership records. He says his focus remains on driving development and effective representation for Delta Central and the nation.
