Osun police have arrested a serving state lawmaker, Abiola Ibrahim Inaolaji, alongside 146 people alleged to have been brought into Ikire for electoral activities ahead of the election. Police said more than 200 Permanent Voter Cards were recovered during the operation. The lawmaker, who represents Irewole/Isokan State Constituency, was reportedly arrested at his residence on Friday night. In a separate operation in Ede, officers arrested 33 additional suspects at a hotel. Police said the group was allegedly brought in from Ondo State and that some suspects claimed they were promised money to vote. Investigations are ongoing to identify the alleged sponsors and other accomplices involved in voter inducement and related electoral offences.
