Shortlisted for IT Interview at Eleganza Industries via WhatsApp – Company Has No Online Presence

I recently received a WhatsApp message saying I’ve been shortlisted for a physical interview for an IT Personnel role at Eleganza Industries. There was no official email or website to verify the company’s authenticity. The invite lists the interview on Friday, 28th April 2026 at 11:00 AM, at 3/5 Modupe Alakija Crescent, Ikoyi, Lagos. I’m asked to bring a hard copy of my resume and any relevant credentials. I’m concerned about the lack of social media presence and legitimacy. Has anyone come across Eleganza Industries or had a similar experience? Any advice would be really helpful.

If you were shortlisted via WhatsApp by a company with no website or email, what would you check before confirming that interview?

Absolutely, I'd confirm the company's address and registration details before committing. It's always better to be sure than sorry!

Good point, it's wise to ask for company registration details or an official email, and maybe a quick video or phone introduction.

It's striking that a firm recruiting IT personnel wouldn't have any online footprint or official email communication.

No online presence no mean say dem dey scam. Some small companies prefer offline recruitment, we no suppose rush conclusions.

Ask them for a CAC registration number and verify it, request a proper letterhead or official email before you arrive.
