Daily Devotional June 24, 2026: Are You Planted and Serving?

Theme: Are You Planted and Serving? Memory Verse: “Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psalm 92:13) Reflection: In Acts 13:1–3 we see Barnabas and Saul ministering and fasting at the church in Antioch when the Holy Spirit commissioned them for ministry. Just as God chose that local assembly, He cares deeply about where you fellowship. Isaiah 61:3 calls us “trees of righteousness,” planted by the Lord to bear fruit. Application: Being rooted in a church requires more than attendance. Jesus taught in John 12:24 that a seed must fall, die, and be planted before it can produce fruit. If you stay on the surface—hopping between services or leaving as soon as the service ends—you miss God’s fullness. Prayer and Worship: Hymn: “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah” Bible in One Year: Psalms 107–111 Closing Prayer: Lord, plant me firmly in Your vineyard and help me serve wholeheartedly. Amen.

How have you felt God's calling in your life to both be rooted and active in service this week?

Haha, I felt rooted in prayer then stepped out to help my neighbour carry groceries!

The verse praises flourishing in God's courts, but what about those struggling to find any space in church community these days?

But isn't it possible the verse speaks more about growing in faith rather than physical inclusion in church gatherings?

I'm not convinced that planting always leads to service; what if some of us thrive privately before stepping into public ministry?

Set aside a consistent time each morning for personal devotion and identify one way to serve someone at church this week.
