Abiodun Commissions New Pharma Warehouse, Extends Free HIV Treatment to Over 30,000 Ogun Residents
Governor Dapo Abiodun has inaugurated a new pharma-grade warehouse for the Ogun State Drugs and Health Commodities Management Agency in Abeokuta. He disclosed that more than 30,000 residents living with HIV now receive free antiretroviral therapy, counselling and support services at health facilities across the state. Funded jointly by the state government and the Global Fund, the facility will improve storage and distribution of essential medicines and test kits, reduce stock-outs and ensure timely delivery to all 20 local government areas. Abiodun also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening HIV prevention, eliminating mother-to-child transmission and expanding diagnostic services for tuberculosis and malaria through sustained partnerships.
