NDLEA Dismantles Record Meth Lab in Ogun Forest, Arrests Baron, 3 Mexicans and 6 Nigerians
The NDLEA has dismantled a transnational meth production syndicate hidden in a remote forest farm in Ijebu East, Ogun State. Operatives arrested drug baron Anochili Innocent, three Mexican experts and six Nigerian collaborators. They seized over 2.4 tons of methamphetamine and chemical precursors valued at N480 billion. Elite teams also raided the baron’s Lagos properties, recovering passports, vehicles and phones linking him to the foreign specialists. Follow-up operations led to two more key arrests at Lekki estates. NDLEA’s chairman warns that Nigeria is now hostile territory for drug cartels. The agency praised the bravery and precision of its Special Operations and Chemical Forensic teams. Nigerians are urged to report any suspicious activities to help maintain momentum in the fight against illicit drugs.
