Dickson Congratulates Adeleke, Calls on Opponents to Support Osun’s Development
Senator Henry Seriake Dickson has congratulated Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on his governorship election victory and urged opposing candidates to support the new administration. Adeleke, who ran on the Accord Party platform, polled 511,067 votes to defeat APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who received 444,815 votes. He won 19 of Osun's 30 local government areas, with a margin of 66,252 votes. Dickson described the outcome as an important moment for Nigeria's democracy. He commended Osun voters and appealed to defeated candidates to accept the result in the spirit of sportsmanship and work with Adeleke for peace and development in the state.
