Kano Governor Yusuf Fires Back at Kwankwaso: “I’m 63, Not a Kid”
During an APC rally in Rano, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf addressed repeated jabs from his former mentor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He warned that his silence should not be mistaken for fear. Yusuf said he values peace in Kano but would speak out if provoked. “To keep quiet is an act of worship, not fear,” he added. He challenged Kwankwaso, asking why a 69-year-old should call a 63-year-old a boy. He urged his estranged benefactor to “keep their mouths shut” to avoid further revelations. The exchange follows Kwankwaso’s recent interview accusing Yusuf of making a mistake by leaving the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
