Governor Buni Appoints Alhaji Yerima Ibn-Mahmud as New Emir of Ngazargamu
The Yobe State government has announced the approval of Alhaji Yerima Ibn-Mahmud as the new Emir of Ngazargamu. A statement signed by Acting Secretary to the State Government Dr. Mohammed Goje in Damaturu confirmed that he succeeds the late Emir Alhaji Tijjani Ibn-Saleh, who passed away in Egypt after a prolonged illness. Before this elevation, Ibn-Mahmud served 16 years as Turakin Ngazargamu. He has also been a member of the State House of Assembly, sat on the State Executive Council and held the office of Commissioner for Livestock Development. Governor Mai Mala Buni congratulated the new Emir and urged citizens to support him in promoting unity, peace and economic growth across the emirate.
