UNIOSUN Lecturer Wins Grant for Antimicrobial Stewardship Research in Nigeria

Dr Iyanuoluwa Adufe of Osun State University has received a 2026 research grant from the African Centre for Development Impact for a study on antimicrobial stewardship in Nigeria. The project, known as the BRIDGE Trial, will test a co-created One Health behavioural intervention designed to improve the responsible use of antimicrobial medicines. It is scheduled to run from August 17, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The research is expected to provide policy-relevant evidence for health decision-makers, strengthen collaboration between researchers and policymakers, and produce at least one scholarly publication. The grant is supported by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
