Harry Wilson Joins Leeds on Free Transfer, Iwobi and Bassey Lose Key Teammate

Harry Wilson Joins Leeds on Free Transfer, Iwobi and Bassey Lose Key Teammate — 1 of 7
1 / 7

Leeds United have secured Wales international Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham. The winger has signed a three-year deal with an option for a fourth under Daniel Farke, fending off interest from Premier League and European rivals. Wilson’s new contract reportedly pays around £90,000 per week, up from his £55,000-a-week salary at Fulham. The deal includes a substantial signing-on fee and marks Leeds’ ambition to bolster their attack. Voted Fulham’s Player of the Season after scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 36 Premier League appearances, Wilson adds creativity and end product to Leeds’ final third. His departure leaves Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey without their teammate at Craven Cottage.

What impact do you think Harry Wilson can have on Leeds' attack after losing key midfield links like Iwobi and Bassey?

I agree, Wilson's creativity and set-piece flair can really ease the midfield loss and offer fresh attacking options.

Signing Wilson on a free transfer sounds smart, but his consistency in England's top flight has been uneven so far.

Leeds should integrate Wilson gradually into Farke's system, focusing on wing rotations to rebuild momentum after Iwobi and Bassey's departure.
