Late-Night Attack on NIPSS Thwarted by Security, One Suspect Killed

Security operatives at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru repelled a late-night assault by suspected gunmen. The attackers tried to breach the perimeter around 11pm but were met with a coordinated response. One assailant was neutralised while others retreated with injuries. All staff, residents and course participants remain safe. Surveillance patrols have been intensified as security agencies track the fleeing suspects. The Institute urged the public to ignore rumours that could cause panic and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property. This attack follows a similar attempt on the facility a few weeks ago.
