Makurdi Gears Up for Arsenal Trophy Parade and Watch Party This Sunday — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Excitement is building in Makurdi as the Benue Arsenal Family prepares to host a grand trophy parade and watch party on Sunday, May 24. Supporters will assemble from 1:30 PM at the former Kenvil Park near the High Level Underpass. The parade kicks off at 2:30 PM and will wind through key parts of the city before ending at Ekkasson Signature near Radio Benue. There, fans can catch Arsenal’s final match of the season on big screens. The celebration promises live music, comedy performances, barbecue (with cows donated by local supporters), and plenty of fanfare. Organizers thank all contributors for their generous support and invite every football lover to join in a carnival-style atmosphere.

It sounds exciting, but I wonder if the logistics around Underpass traffic have been fully sorted before the 2:30 parade start.

Traffic concerns make sense, but I suspect the planners have traffic diversions ready for a smooth parade.

I'm not convinced the former Kenvil Park venue is adequate for a big crowd, it might feel too cramped by the underpass.

Bringing portable chairs and light refreshments could make the watch party at Kenvil Park much more comfortable for everyone.
