True Love Gives People the Freedom to Leave

True Love Gives People the Freedom to Leave

True love does not force people to stay. When someone chooses to leave, love allows them to make that choice, even when it hurts. The Bible presents a similar lesson. Jesus allowed the rich young man to walk away after he could not let go of his possessions. He also asked the Twelve whether they wanted to leave when many disciples turned away. For me, this means keeping the door open without trying to control anyone. The only person I should fear losing is Jesus, not any human being.

Exactly. Love should leave room for choice, while still encouraging honest conversations and real effort where both people are willing.

Freedom matters, but it should not become an excuse to avoid honest conversations or responsibility when a relationship becomes difficult.

A practical approach is to communicate clearly, state your needs without coercion, and accept the other person's decision if they still choose to leave.
