I’ve noticed a strange pattern: whenever I plan a date and exchange numbers with a girl, I have a vivid dream. In the dream, a man tries to snatch my phone and finally pulls out a knife. I run but he corners me in a bush. It feels so real that I wake up with my heart pounding. This recurring nightmare scares me into cancelling most dates. I go silent, and the girls move on without following up. But on one occasion, a girl kept calling and texting, so I finally showed up. She didn’t have anyone else and really wanted to meet.
