Super Eagles Squad Revealed: Chelle Picks 24 for Unity Cup, Poland and Portugal Friendlies
Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has named a 24-man squad for the upcoming Unity Cup and two June friendlies against Poland and Portugal. The list combines experienced internationals with promising newcomers. For the Unity Cup in London, Chelle retained captain Wilfred Ndidi, goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and forwards Moses Simon, Akor Adams and Terem Moffi. First-time invitees include goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and midfielders Raphael Onyedika, Tochukwu Nnadi and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro. Home-based talents such as Michael Atata, Elias Ochobi and Chibueze Oputa also made the cut. Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in the semi-final at Valley on Tuesday, 26 May. Looking ahead to the friendlies, the squad features Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Maduka Okoye, Zaidu Sanusi, Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi. Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Paul Onuachu lead the attack. The Eagles play Poland in Warsaw on 3 June before travelling to Leiria for the Portugal match on 10 June.
