Arsenal Eye Arteta Extension While Deciding Futures of Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri

Arsenal Eye Arteta Extension While Deciding Futures of Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri — 1 of 4
1 / 4

Arsenal have moved to open contract talks with Mikel Arteta as they push for their first Premier League title in 22 years and aim for progress in the Champions League. The Spaniard’s current deal runs until 2026 and is worth around £10 million per season plus bonuses for European qualification. Negotiations are expected to resume this summer, with both club and manager keen for a long-term commitment. At the same time, the club’s recruitment team is prioritising a versatile full-back, a central midfielder and a left-winger in the upcoming transfer window. To fund these signings, Arsenal may consider offers for academy talents Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri. Established first-team players such as Gabriel Jesus, Ben White and Gabriel Martinelli could also be on the market as the Gunners reshape their squad.
