A man has alleged that kidnappers killed his elder brother, Israel Edwin Udonu, after the family paid ransom twice and supplied two motorcycles and other items. He said Israel, his brother-in-law and another man were abducted on May 24, 2026, while travelling from Kaduna to Lagos along the Obajana axis of Kogi State. The brother-in-law and the third victim were reportedly released on July 30, but Israel was allegedly killed. The family says it has been left devastated, with no body recovered for burial. A service of songs is scheduled to hold in Kaduna.
