POCACOV Launches 2026 Nationwide School Outreach and Community Engagement

The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has kicked off its 2026 activities under the leadership of Inspector-General Olatunji Disu. The programme aims to strengthen crime prevention and deepen community partnerships nationwide. This year’s rollout features school outreach, community sensitisation and stakeholder collaboration. Teams are active in over 30 states, including Lagos, Kwara, Rivers and the FCT. The focus is on tackling root causes of crime among young people. In schools, officers promote discipline, responsible citizenship and resistance to cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime and other vices. These sessions encourage students to become ambassadors of peace in their communities. POCACOV also engages traditional rulers, religious leaders, parents and local organisations. Together, they build trust and foster collective responsibility for maintaining peace and security.
