Guard Your Spiritual Sight: Lessons from Samson

In Judges 16, Delilah learned the secret of Samson’s strength and handed it over to the Philistines. They shaved his hair, captured him, and took his eyes. Although his hair grew back, Samson never regained his sight and needed a guide to avoid stumbling. The devil and his forces want to rob believers of their spiritual vision. When we fall into sin, we start to confuse good with evil and become enslaved by the very habits we once overcame. Just as Delilah exploited Samson’s weakness, the enemy studies our vulnerabilities to lead us into deception. If you struggle with recurring sins while still calling yourself a devoted Christian, ask God for humility and grace. He gives strength to the humble (James 4:6) and helps believers overcome sin (Romans 6:14). Stand firm, and don’t let your spiritual eyes be removed.
