Bandits Kill Officer, Loot Health Centre in Sayaya Community, Katsina
On Sunday, April 5, armed bandits attacked Sayaya village in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State. They stormed the local police station, killing one officer, then razed vehicles and looted shops at the Primary Health Care Centre. Residents say they fled in panic as the gunmen operated for hours. The assailants carted away wares and other valuables. Locals added that such violence had subsided after a peace deal in the area, making the attack all the more shocking.
