Breaking Root Curses – Open Heavens Devotional (March 20, 2026)
This devotional explores how curses strike at their roots. We recall Elisha’s act of healing Jericho’s waters (2 Kings 2:21) and the curse on Gehazi that reached his descendants (2 Kings 5:20-27). We also reflect on Christ’s fig tree curse in Mark 11:12-20 to show that curses attack from the root up. Beloved, curses can remain hidden. A divine curse cannot be reversed by man. It moves silently through our lineage, like a branch that dies before it yellows. We must address our problems at the source, not just the symptoms. Today, we speak against every inherited curse. We decree that every root curse in our families is uprooted and destroyed in Jesus’ name. Let God’s healing salt break every chain. Read today’s Scripture (2 Kings 5:20-27 and Mark 11:12-20). Pray the prayer points. Claim deliverance over your lineage. Amen.
