Tinubu Directs INEC, Security Chiefs to Ensure Credible Osun Governorship Poll

President Bola Tinubu has directed INEC and security agencies to ensure that the Osun governorship election is peaceful, transparent and credible. Fifteen candidates are contesting the poll, including Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, APC candidate Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and ADC candidate Najeem Salaam. Tinubu urged INEC to protect the integrity of the process and use the election as a test of its readiness for the 2027 general elections. He also directed security chiefs to protect voters, electoral officials and polling units from intimidation or violence. The President urged eligible Osun residents to vote, assuring them that security arrangements had been made before, during and after the election.
