Edo State Overhauls Land Administration, Scraps Lands and Housing Ministry
Edo State has replaced its Ministry of Lands and Housing with the Edo State Geographic Information Service as the central agency for land management. This strategic reform aims to boost efficiency, transparency and data-driven decision-making in the sector. The former Commissioner for Lands and Housing has been reassigned to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. With this change, Edo State’s ministries have reduced from 28 to 27.
