Tinubu Declares “Dark Tunnel” Over as Nigeria Celebrates Eid-el-Kabir

President Bola Tinubu has said Nigeria is emerging from tough economic times as Muslims mark Eid-el-Kabir. In his 2026 Eid message, he praised citizens’ sacrifices, invoked the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, and declared, “the walk through the dark tunnel is over.” He urged all Nigerians to pray for peace, support the less privileged, and strengthen unity. Tinubu acknowledged ongoing security threats but insisted no community will be forgotten and vowed to defeat terrorists and bandits. The President also pledged continued reforms to boost investment, job creation, security, infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital. He closed by wishing everyone a peaceful, joyous, and blessed Eid al-Kabir.
