Giringori’s Six Political Betrayals: From APGA to ADC
Giringori has built a reputation for breaking oaths and shifting loyalties across Nigeria’s major parties. His moves often follow personal ambition more than party ideals. He began by swearing not to leave APGA after securing its gubernatorial ticket, only to join PDP in hopes of a ministerial role under President Jonathan. In 2015 he served as campaign director for GEJ, then aligned with Atiku’s camp in 2019 after fueling regional PDP discontent. After losing interest from Atiku in 2023, he defected from PDP to Labour Party, splitting votes in the general election. He then clashed with LP leadership over fund audits and primaries before jumping to ADC. His latest shift saw him and his followers leave ADC when primaries were announced, even as other defectors stayed. Each move has intensified factional battles, leaving a trail of disputes and court cases in his wake.
