Abuja Police Bust Gang Stealing Bolt and Uber Cars
The FCT Police Command has arrested four suspects who targeted Bolt and Uber drivers in Abuja. On July 7, operatives from the Violent Crime Response Unit tracked down and apprehended Ibrahim Ismail, Ahmad Umar, Riskwa Shehu and Umar Abubakar based on credible intelligence. Investigations revealed they posed as regular passengers, booked rides on e-hailing platforms, then attacked drivers and stole their vehicles and valuables. Officers recovered an ash-coloured Toyota RAV4 (YAB 240 DL) and a grey Honda Civic (ABC 72 JP). The suspects will be charged to court once investigations conclude.
