Kumail Ali Nanjiani is a Pakistani-American comedian, actor and writer best known for playing Dinesh in HBO’s Silicon Valley. He co-wrote and starred in the Oscar-nominated romantic comedy The Big Sick and began his career hosting The Indoor Kids podcast in 2011. Born in Karachi in February 1978, Nanjiani studied computer science and philosophy at Grinnell College. He landed early roles in The Kings of Summer, Franklin & Bash and Portlandia before his breakthrough on Silicon Valley. Now 48 years old and standing 1.74 m tall at 76 kg, he is married to author and producer Emily V. Gordon. Together they earned an Academy Award nomination for Original Screenplay. His estimated net worth is $8–9 million.
