Semenyo and Partey Lead Ghana’s Final 26-Man World Cup Squad

Semenyo and Partey Lead Ghana’s Final 26-Man World Cup Squad

Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz has confirmed his 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, with Antoine Semenyo and Thomas Partey among the headline selections. The Black Stars will tune up with a friendly against Wales in Cardiff before heading to the United States, Canada and Mexico. They open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 and face England and Croatia in Group L. Midfield stalwart Thomas Partey returns despite an ongoing legal case in the UK. Forward Jordan Ayew will captain the side in the absence of injured winger Mohammed Kudus. The squad combines Premier League experience with local talent as Ghana prepare for their fifth World Cup appearance.

Absolutely, Ghana stands solid with Partey's midfield control and Semenyo's speed against Wales in Cardiff.

Selecting both Semenyo and Partey looks strong, but relying heavily on these two could expose other midfield gaps.

Focusing on defensive drills before heading to the United States and Canada could shore up the squad's backline.
