Morris Monye has alleged that the NDC Delta North primary was manipulated to favour another candidate after the entry of recently defected political figures into the party. He said the returning officer produced a result that was used to justify his substitution, despite his claim that he was the rightful winner. According to him, he raised the matter with Peter Obi but chose not to continue pursuing it in order to focus on the party’s presidential ambition. Monye urged his supporters across Delta North to remain calm and said he would visit them to thank them for their support. He maintains that he is not seeking a free ticket but wants the declared winner to reflect the outcome of the primary.
