Navy Commissions New Flats in Calabar as CNS Pledges Staff Welfare
Eight two-bedroom flats at Ikot Ansa Senior Staff Quarters in Calabar were inaugurated by the Nigerian Navy on Monday. The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, speaking through the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral Chidozie Okehie, said similar housing projects will soon follow in Port Harcourt and Uyo. He stressed that quality accommodation boosts morale and strengthens operational efficiency in tackling maritime security threats. Beneficiaries were urged to maintain the facilities to preserve their value. Vice Admiral Abbas noted that these flats complete projects inherited from previous administrations and reaffirmed plans to launch and finish more housing initiatives across naval formations.
